Forced Migration Review is entirely dependent on grants in order to produce and distribute around 60,000 copies per annum. The FMR Editors fundraise for all aspects of FMR's work, including FMR staff salaries.

Expenditure for FMR's four language editions for the University of Oxford 2006-2007 financial year (1 August 2006 - 31 July 2007) was GB£317,000 / $US627,000 / €464,000 (pending final accounting).
